You and your readers should know about the National LGBT Cancer Network, the only organization in the country working to make a difference in the incidence of cancer in the LGBT community and the experience of survivors with the health care system. We are educating the community about our increased risks, training health care providers to offer more culturally competent care and collaborating with researchers to develop the critical data needed to make a change. More information is available at www.cancer-network.org

The National LGBT Cancer Network is also the only cancer program founded, directed and led by lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender people. We are from the community and we serve the community.
