The Broken Hearts Club is usefully subtitled ‘A Romantic Comedy’, just in case it wasn’t clear. The movie follows the lives of a group of gay guys from West Hollywood, as they struggle with the trials and tribulations of friendship.

The group meet at Jack’s Broken Hearts Restaurant and play in the Broken Hearts Softball team. Jack acts as the father figure to the group, confidently asserting:

“Everyone can’t be straight. Everyone can’t be beautiful. Everyone can’t be the same, Patrick. Some people are just gay and average. We’re the strongest I think.”

You’ll have to forgive the brevity of this entry but my copy of The Broken Hearts Club was leant out and NEVER RETURNED… I think you call that THEFT. (You know who you are!)

Actually, if nothing else this movie taught us to use the word ‘meanwhile’ when eyeing up hot guys. It works like a dream…
