Paul and Eddie put on a musical called ‘Adam and Steve, Just the way God made ‘em’, and discover that their own lives closely resemble those of their on-stage characters. Paul hunts for the perfect man while Eddie grapples with his sexuality and his faith.

Paul becomes tired of endless dates that lead nowhere and decides to become a slut. Eddie decides to come out to his parents. Neither endeavour goes according to plan.

The film concludes with the two realising that they can only be happy once they accept who they really are – the way God made ‘em.
