Gareth Thomas – Afraid to be Gay
Gareth Thomas (former Wales rugby union captain) uses undercover footage in investigating attitudes of the British population about homosexuality. Why are homophobic attacks on the rise?
In December last year Gareth publically came out as gay in an interview with the Daily (Hate)Mail. He reportedly came out because he hoped it would encourage young gay people to seriously consider a professional sporting career.
Unlike Gareth I never got a coming out party, especially with Will Young as a guest – so unfair!
“It’s not my business, but…” Yeah dam right, shut the f**k up bitch!
Let’s remember this was a programme for ITV (very “tabloid-y” journalism), so it’s not going to offer particularly complex arguments. Interesting nonetheless.
