Julianne Moore and Annette Benning star in Lisa Cholodenko’s “The Kids are All Right”, a story about a modern family dealing with gaining a new family member.

Bening and Moore play a lesbian couple who have two teenage children. When the daughter reaches her 18th birthday she decides to seek out her biological father, with Mark Ruffalo playing the role.

The story progresses as the kids see Mark as a father figure while he simply asserts that donating sperm was “more fun than donating blood”. With Mark on the scene, the lesbian couple begin to experience insecurities in their relationship and feel threatened by the father suddenly being in their children’s lives.

From the trailer this looks amazing and I can’t wait to see it at the cinema!
